Giulia Marquet`s Masterful Riding Tops the €55,150 Kep Italia Grand Prix CSIO 3*

Gorla Minore, Italy – April 30, 2023 – Forza squadra azzurra! Giulia Martinengo Marquet (ITA) mastered the competition, giving the host nation the win in the €55,150 Kep Italia Grand Prix CSIO 5* to conclude the first leg of the 2023 Longines EEF Series at the traditional Equieffe Equestrian Centre.

Riding Scuderia 1918 Calle Deluxe, an eleven-year-old Holsteiner bay gelding (Cesano x Con Air), Martinengo`s masterful two rides proved to be too much compared to the competition. Giulia galloped past 10 combinations in the jump-off, overcoming the original other 49 entries in the first round of the contest too, doing so in flawless fashion and in 38.18 seconds.

The next two top spots on the podium belonged to Portuguese riders. Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) and Quirados Z (Quidam de Revel) tried to be quick and clean, falling just short due to their final time of 40.35 seconds.

Adir Dias de Abreu (POR) and Dartanion (Dibadu L x Champion du Lys) dashed for bronze honors with two fault-free performances, the decisive one in 40.73 seconds.
