Grimaud, France – April 27, 2023 – An Irish victory on French soil. Mark Mcauley (IRL) and GRS Lady Amaro were the aces in the €26,200 Hubside Special Two-Phase Challenge CSI 3*on Thursday at the Hubside Jumping`s Spring Tour II.
Going up against 56 other combinations in the 1.45m contest, the Irishman and the 2013 Irish Sport Horse mare (Amaretto d`Arco x Over The River) were supremed by being clean all the way to the final timers, completing the second section of the course in 30.93 seconds for the win.
One of the most consistent riders at the venue since its conception, Olivier Perreau (FRA) came close to registering another win at the magnificent equestrian center. Perreau was powered towards silver honors by GL Events Dolce Deceuninck (Toulon x Cartier van de Heffinck), finishing just three-hundredths of a second off the pace of the eventual winners.
Another frequent top-three finisher there, Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) rounded out the top three with Crack Balou (Balou du Reventon x Chacco-Blue). He was also flawless all the way to the final timers, being time in 31.14 seconds.
