Wellington, Florida, USA – April 15, 2023 – The weekend of 3* competition began on Saturday at Wellington International with the running of $39,000 ProElite Feed Classic CSI 3*. Nine out of the 49 combinations who participated in the first round of the 1.45m class advanced to the jump-off but it was Nayel Nassar (EGY) and Linguini de La Pomme, the Evergate Stables’ 12-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood mare (Marius Claudis x Tinka’s Boy) who posted the fastest clean jump-off performance in 39.63 seconds for the win.
Erynn Ballard (CAN) and Corner Pocket Z (Cornet Obolensky x Lux Z) produced two fault-free performances too, securing silver honors in 40.07 seconds while Paul O’Shea (IRL) and Dirty Girl (Donckervoort x Casall) rounded out the top three in 41.03 seconds.
