Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain – April 07, 2023 – FEI-level showjumping and a nice jackpot were once again an attraction at Mediterranean Equestrian Tour on Friday as the event hosted the €26,200 CHG – Construcciones Hispano Germanas Trophy CSI 2*. As many times before, it was Great Britain who stole the spotlight, claiming the top two positions on the podium. In the end, it was a Izac Ketteridge (GBR) who prevailed against fellow countryman William Funnell (GBR).

Ketteridge claimed the jackpot of the 1.45m speed challenge by guiding Galerius (Diamant de Semilly x Sandro Boy) in flawless fashion all the way to the finish line in 68.83 seconds. Izac and Elisha Simmons` 2011 dark brown Royal Dutch Sport Horse / Dutch Warmblood stallion managed to nip William Funnell (GBR) and Equine America Billy Marmite by just less than four-tenths of a second, the latter combination completing their round in 69.22 seconds.
Cyril Cools (BEL) had another solid performance, this time with Cloe GP Z (Corrdino x Takashi Van Berkenbroek), rounding out the top three after penalty-free effort in 71.71 seconds.
