Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – March 19, 2023 – Super Sunday once again showcased three grands prix at the Andalucia Sunshine Tour CSI 4*. As many times before it was a Brazilian who stole the spotlight in the €28,960 Medium Tour Grand Prix CSI 4* with Felipe Amaral (BRA) who was riding Androide 3K in this very demanding 1.50m class on a course designed by Colm Quinn (IRL) and held in the Hickstead arena.
From a total of 56 combinations, only eight advanced to the jump-off in the class designed by Irish. In the end, it was Felipe who flew to first in flawless fashion aboard his very own 12-year-old grey Brazilian Sport Horse stallion (BH – VDL Zirocco Blue), stopping the timers in 38.21 seconds during the decisive round.
It was a one-two for Brazil at the top of the podium since Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho (BRA) and Sierra du Piedroux Z (Hunter’s Scendix x Contefino) registered the second-fastest clean performance of the tiebreaker, securing silver honors in 39.27 secconds.
Alessandra Reich (AUT) and Anyway van het Kervijnhof Z (Alvaro du Talus x Klairon Dance) also had a clean scorecard, completing the podium in 39.74 seconds.
