Two-Thumbs Up! Nitro-Charged Ciaran Nallon & Fifty Shades of Grey Star in €26,800 Small Tour Grand Prix CSI 4*

Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – March 19, 2023 – Ireland back on top. Irish riders have won several classes so far this season at the XIX Sunshine Tour and it was no different on Sunday. The €26,800 Small Tour Grand Prix CSI 4* was claimed Ciaran Nallon (IRL) and Fifty Shades of Grey.

The Irishman and the 9-year-old grey Holsteiner gelding (Cellestial) blazed through the course in flawless fashion, yet leaving all the poles set at the height of 1.45m meters on the cups, securing the win in 40.12 seconds.

Nallon’s nitro-charged performance proved to be too much for the other 8 combinations who had qualified for the tiebreaker. The closest performance was produced by Leticia Riva Gil (ESP) Cadum de Champloue (Voltigeur de Rampan x Quintal), who ended up after completing their second run in 41. 59 seconds.

As a testament of the fierce competition, three different nations were represented on the podium. Third place was conquered by Rogier Linssen NED) and Dancing Nini Z , who had a clean scorecard too and a final time of 44.01 seconds.
