
Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – March 09, 2023 – The winner of the €10,450 Hipotels Big Tour Speed Challenge CSI 4* was the talented Irish rider Jason Foley (IRL), riding the nine year old, Rockwell RC. Foley flew to first place with the beautiful 9-year-old bay Irish Sport Horse mare (Kannan) owned by Sean Cubitt, stopping the timers in 56.22 seconds.
The winners barely beat the fast time that had been set earlier by the British rider James Smith (GBR), doing so by just one-hundredth of a second!!! Smith ended up taking second place in this exciting speed class, with another bay mare, the 11- year-old Holly (Zambesi x Verdi TN).
Third was the Spanish rider, Jesús Garmendia Echevarria (ESP) with Callias (Companiero x Casco) completing the podium aftr a penalty-free performance in 56.93 seconds.
