Doha, Qatar – March 04, 2023 – Despite her young age and competing against many of the best of the noble sport and at the highest leve, Ioli Mytilineou (GRE) continues to amaze. On Friday, the Greek Gods must have been in attendance at the stunning Al Shaqab as she earned an impressive win in the €30,000 GCL First Individual Speed Challenge CSI 5*.
Teaming up with L’Artiste de Toxandra, she blazed past all competitors after clearing all the 1.55m obstacles on the course set by Uliano Vezzani (ITA) before guiding the Elia Construction’s 12-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood gelding (Toulon x Kashmir van Schuttershof) across the finish line in 66.79 seconds.
Almost a newcomer in his own right to the high-level Efe Siyahi (TUR) also outshone the favorites, securing the spot on the podium with Calvino (Castelan II x Literat) in 67.28 seconds.
The third fastest penalty-free performance of the contest was registered by Jur Vrieling (NED) on Griffin van de Heffinck (Castelino van de Helle x Contact van de Heffinck), doing so in 69.50 seconds.
