Doha, Qatar – March 04, 2023 – The €97,700 Grand Prix of Doha CSI 3* was taken out by Qatar’s Khalid Mohammed A S Al Emadi (QAT) and Little Lord Pezi 2 in impressive fashion.
With Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani (QAT) in attendance, competitors really put on a show. Speaking of his victory, Khalid Mohammed A S Al Emadi commented on international shows making a return to Doha. “Today was the last day of a very successful two weeks, the 3* CHI show and the Global Champions show. Having these international shows on our ground is absolutely phenomenal.”
Challenged by an Ulliano Vezzani (ITA) built course, and sealing the win for Qatar, he went on to say: “The height of the fences was so big, I was the first rider to have a clear round for the first round, and then opened the door for the other two riders. I was first to go in the last round, I have done my best, I have went fast, at the end I won the class. I would congratulate all of my colleagues, the Qataris, the people who organised this absolutely amazing show.”

Riding the 13-year-old dark bay Oldenburg gelding (Böckmann’s Lord Pezi x Caretello), Khalid was the only rider to register a double clear, securing the win in 35.79 seconds.
Ramzy Al Duhami (KSA) and Manola LS la Silla (Manzanillo LS x Riscal) were faster, but their time of 31.32 seconds came at the expense of one pole down, settling for second place.
Kamal Abdullah Bahamdan (KSA) and Jack van het Dennehof (Toulon x Quidam de Revel) were the only other combination to participate in the tiebreaker but unfortunately they had three poles down, resulting in 12 penalty-points.
