Flying Jackie Takes Kevin Jochems to New Heights in Aloga Auctions Grand Prix CSI 4*

Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – February 26, 2023 – Super Sunday at the Andalucia Sunshine Tour CSI 4* featured no less than 3 grands prix. The €28,600 Aloga Auctions Medium Tour Grand Prix CSI 4* was one of the three main attractions there as designer Elio Travagliati built a substantial track in the Milton arena for 66 combinations who took part in the first round of the 1.50m contest.

In the end ten of them advanced to the tiebreaker but it was Dutch rider Kevin Jochems (NED) who prevailed, riding a fast round with very tight turns, slipping into the lead for good with with Flying Jackie, a 13-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood mare (Nabab de Reve x Voltaire), stopping the timers in 32.57 seconds. 

Matias Albarracin (ARG) & Full Option van’t Zand

Last to go and finishing in second place, was the Argentinian rider, Matias Albarracin (ARG) with Full Option van’t Zand (Flamingo), completing their seconds fault-free effort in 32.95 seconds.

Thibault Keller (SUI) & Badaboum One

Three different nations climbed onto the podium as third place was claimed by Thibaut Keller (SUI) with Badaboum One (Quento Sange x Mylord Carthago), registering no penalties and a final time of 33.05 seconds.
