
Gothenburg, Sweden – February 24, 2023 – Fantastic French! Three Frenchmen claimed the top three positions in Friday’s $620,000 ATG Prize CSI 5* at the Gothenburg Horse Show CSI 5* . Julien Anquetin (FRA) led “Les Bleus”, teaming up with Blood Diamond du Pont for the win in the 1.50m speed challenge. Almost eight-tenths of a second separated the top two combinations as Anquetin pulled out all the aces aboard the 12-year-old bay Selle Français gelding (Diamant de Semilly x Arpege Pierre), crossing the finish line in 55.88 seconds.
Regular members of French Nations Cup teams, Marc Dilasser (FRA) and Arioto du Gevres (Diamant de Semilly x Qualisco III) showed signs of greatness again, finishing second in 56.64 seconds.
The all-French podium was completed by Gregory Cottard (FRA) and Bibici (Norman Pre Noir x Nelfo du Mesnil), registering a mark only eleven-hundredths of a second slower than the previous pair, being timed in 56.75 seconds at the end of their performance.
