Vejer de La Frontera – February 23, 2023 – Dutch rider, Sanne Thijssen (NED) is dominating the Ranking classes this week, today she won the second one in a row, the €27,400 Big Tour Speed Challenge CSI 4*, adding to her the wins on the 10th and 17th this month, here at the 2023 Andalucía Sunshine Tour; sponsored by the Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte and co-financed by the European Union.
Yesterday, she had already won with Hi There’, and today with, the 17-year-old stallion, Con Quidam RB (Quinar Z x Cardino 5), with whom she had won the WKD Trophy CSI 5* on the 10th. The Sanne is just 25, and is currently the 106th ranked rider in the world, a place we feel will clearly rise as she continues with excellent results here at Montenmedio. The duo completed their winning round in 65.64 seconds.
Second place was claimed by the current Spanish Showjumping Champion, Armando Trapote Mariscal (ESP) with the amazingly athletic Tornado VS (Toulon x Contender). They also left all the poles up and were almost seven-tenths (66.37s) of a second off the mark set by the eventual winners.
Another rider with wins and frequent top-three finishes, Martin Fuchs (SUI) was back on the podium too. Fuchs is currently number two in the Rankings, this time rounding out the podium with Commissar Pezi (Commissario x Böckmann’s Lord Pezi) due to their time of 68.26 seconds.
Fourth was French rider, Olivier Robert (FRA) with Iglesias D.V. (Quasimodo Van De Molendreef x Indorado) and fifth, Dutch rider, Michael Greeve (NED) with Jacksonville Eurohill (Emerald x Carambole).
