Paris Sellon is Second but also “First” at the Sunshine Tour

Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – January 27, 2023 –  Her partner won, she was second and also first! So you must be asking yourself, hows that even possible? It turns out world Number two in the World Rankings, Martin Fuchs (SUI won but Paris Sellon (USA) did not disappoint either, finishing second in Friday’s €26,200 Longines Ranking CSI 2* at the 2023 Andalucía Pre-Sunshine Tour, sponsored by ‘la Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte’ and co-financed by the European Union.

In this 1.45 (FT) class, Fuchs rode the lovely, nine year-old mare, Che Tipa (Caseo Della Caccia x ‘Ogano Sitte) who he has been building up over the past week and is owned by Willow Grace Farms. Paris had more than one reason to celebrate this win, coming in just behind, to take second, was another one of Willow Grace Farms’ horses, the 14-year-old mare, who has won many a rosette here at Montenmedio. She rode Anna Jo (‘Acodetto 2’ x ‘For Pleasure’) towards second-place, backed by a penalty-free performance in 68.98 seconds.

Just a fraction of a second behind was resident rider, Teresa Blázquez Abascal (ESP) with another top mare, Nasa de Toxandria (‘Vertigo Saint Benoit’ x ‘Chopin Van Het Moleneind’), who had also placed second yesterday in the 1.40m class.

Swedish rider Jacob Hellström (SWE) was fourth with ‘Chuck Bass’ and fifth was the Dutch rider Mark Martens (NED) with ‘Iwan’.

Led by her parnter and world number two Martin Fuchs (SUI) and herself, Paris Sellon‘s Willow Grace Farms’ Che Tipa & Anna Jo claimed the top two placings in the feature class of the day at the Andalucía Pre-Sunshine Tour.
