It turns out world Number two in the World Rankings, Martin Fuchs (SUI won but Paris Sellon (USA) did not disappoint either, finishing second in Fridayโs โฌ26,200 Longines Ranking CSI 2* at the 2023 Andalucรญa Pre-Sunshine Tour, sponsored by โla Consejerรญa de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte’ and co-financed by the European Union.
In this 1.45 (FT) class, Fuchs rode the lovely, nine year-old mare, Che Tipa (Caseo Della Caccia x โOgano Sitte) who he has been building up over the past week and is owned by Willow Grace Farms. Paris had more than one reason to celebrate this win, coming in just behind, to take second, was another one of Willow Grace Farms’ horses, the 14-year-old mare, who has won many a rosette here at Montenmedio. She rode Anna Jo (โAcodetto 2โ x โFor Pleasureโ) towards second-place, backed by a penalty-free performance in 68.98 seconds.
Just a fraction of a second behind was resident rider, Teresa Blรกzquez Abascal (ESP) with another top mare, Nasa de Toxandria (โVertigo Saint Benoitโ x โChopin Van Het Moleneindโ), who had also placed second yesterday in the 1.40m class.
Swedish rider Jacob Hellstrรถm (SWE) was fourth with โChuck Bassโ and fifth was the Dutch rider Mark Martens (NED) with โIwanโ.
