Gregory Wathelet Gallops for the Win in the €25,500 Stal Hendrix Prix CSI 2* at Peelbergen

Kronenberg, The Netherlands – December 16, 2022 – Gregory Wathelet (BEL) galloped to another win on Thursday at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre. The Belgian teamed up with Cartaro 2 to win the €25,500 Stal Hendrix CSI 2*. Wathelet and the 2010 grey Oldenburg stallion (Carinue x Chacco Blue) overcame 10 other combinations in the jump-off of the 1.45m contest, doing so in flawless fashion and completing their performance 44.65 seconds.

Jeroen Dubbeldam (NED) was more conservating aboard Investment (Kannan x Gelha’s VDL Emilion), completing their second fault-free effort over two second slower than the eventual winners, but still managing to secure a respectable second-place finish due to their final time of 42.40 seconds.

 The podium was completed by Egor Shchibrik (PLE) with Cornet’s Spirit (Cornet Obolensky x Con Spirit), who were clocked in 44.65 seconds at the end of their tiebreaker run.
