Fort Worth, Texas, USA – December 14, 2022 – Life is full of ups and downs and so is showjumping. In Erynn Ballard‘s case, the Canadian had a very incosistent year according to her own standards and statement after winning the $74,200 CabanaCoast Winning Round CSI 5* with Narcotique VH Dingenshof last week at Thermal, California, USA. It turns out that showjumping might involve more of a mental aspect than most people in the sport might acknowledge, thereforeonce you start winning, it’s much easier to win.

That’s exactly what happened as Ballard (CAN) teamed up with the same 9-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood mare (Harley VDL x Chacco-Blue) that carried her to victory last week to win the $40,000 Bethorsesports.com – Fantasy Two-Phase Challenge CSI 4*-W last Wednesday during Split Rock Jumping Tour‘s CSI 4*-W at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. The dynamic duo were consistent again, setting the winning mark in 30.30 seconds at the end of their second-phase performance.
Her win was enhanced by another podium finish as she rode Gakhir (Spartacus TN x Labor’s VDL Indorado) towards bronze honors, the differencce being their final time of 30.77 seconds.
Daniel Coyle (IRL) gave it a good run finishing just in between her two mounts with Ivory TCS (Falaise de Muze x Ukato), securing the second spot on the podium in 31.19 seconds.
