Oliva Nova, Spain – December 09, 2022 –James Smith (GBR) continued to shine at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour on Friday, teaming with Arkuga to claim top honors in the Grand Prix qualifier for the €26,600 Dammann Reitplatz – u. Sportplatzbau GmbH Trophy CSI 3*.

The Brit and the 2011 bay Anglo-European Sport Horse (Arko III x Heartbreaker) were supreme in the 1.45m speed challenge, clearing all the obstacles before crossing the finish line in 67.15 seconds for the win.

Kara Chad (CAN) and Quidamo F (Quality 9 x Chameur) were also flawless right to the wire, securing second place in 70.59 seconds.

The third spot on the podium was claimed by Chloe Aston (GBR) and Flavie van de Helle (Carlow van de Helle x Carvallo), who earned bronze honors backed by a penalty-free performance in 71.27 seconds.
