Geneva, Switzerland – December 09, 2022 – A world-ranking event and the second qualifying competition for Sunday’s Rolex Grand Prix, the CHF $59,400 Prix des Communes Genevoises CSI 5* took on extra significance this year. Republic of Ireland’s Conor Swail (IRL), on board Count Me In (Count Grannus x Sherlock Holmes), claimed victory, dashing towards victory after a penalty-free performance in 60.73 seconds.

Germany’s Marcus Ehning(GER) came in second on the impressive stallion Funky Fred (For Pleasure x Pilot), registering no penalties in 62.09 seconds.

To the delight of spectators present Switzerland’s very own Elian Bauman (SUI) rode Little Lumpi E (Lordanos x Polydor) for the third spot on the podium, completing his fault-free round in 64.46 seconds.

Winner’s Circle – Conor Swail:

“Today’s event was really technical, and there were a lot of faults too. I had two options before I went out there: to make sure I went clear or to go for speed. I went for option two. My horse is very quick and I gave it all I had. I’m delighted to be in Geneva and to have qualified for the Rolex Grand Prix. I’m lucky enough to have one of the best horses in the world in Count Me In. He’s earned his day’s rest tomorrow and I’m sure he’ll be in great form on Sunday.”
