
Valence, France – December 02, 2022 – On Friday, the Haras des Grillons de Ratières (Drôme) hosted three competitions that counted for the Longines FEI world ranking and was contested by several of the best riders in the world. Belgian fans were not disappointed as two of their top combinations claimed the top two positions on the podium of the €25,500 Celside Jump-off Challenge CSI 3*.
Wilm Vermeir (BEL) rode Linguini de La Pomme (Marius Claudius x Tinka’s Boy) flawlessly in the jump-off of the 1.45m challenge, securing the win aboard Marcel de Ridder’s 2011 bay Belgian Warmblood mare with a final time of 31.13 seconds.
Koen Vereecke (BEL) secured a one-two finish for the “Red Devils) on Arioso du Bois ( Rock’N Roll Semilly x Qredo de Paulstra), matching the clean scorecard of his fellow countryman and completing his second performance in 31.59 seconds.
Despite valiant peformancesby other Belgian riders, the host nation did manage to earn bronze honors. Jean Luc Mourier (FRA) guided Kielekoo van’t T&L (Carabas Vd Wateringhoeve x Canadian River) to third place, doing so in 31.90 seconds.
