Oliva Nova, Spain – November 26, 2022 – Gaj Riossa (SLO) raced to victory in the €25,700 Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort Trophy CSI 2* last Saturday during the second week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour Autumn III Series. A total of 8 of the original 54 combinations were clean in the first round but only three of them managed to duplicate the feat.
In the end, it was Gaj and the 2009 chestnut Royal Dutch Sport Horse – Dutch Warmblood stallion (Warrant x Corland) who produced the fastest clean performance in the tiebreaker, securing the gold in 45.19 seconds.
Second place was claimed by Michaeli Ann Byrne (IRL) and MHS Gabran (Cardento) after completing their second run in 46.04 seconds while Carolina Aresu Garcia Obregon (ESP) rode Dawsons Flex (Flex A Bill x Kildalton Gold) towards bronze honors in 46.56 seconds.
