Riesenbeck, Germany – September 02, 2022 – Eiken Sato (GER) and Chacanno Jra showed supremacy to win the €25,950 Grand Prix of Riesenbeck CSI 2* during the Riesenbeck International CSI 2* on Sunday at Ludger Beerbaum’s Riesenbeck International Equestrian Center.
Aboard the 15-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Chacco-Blue x Kannan), Sato overcame some of the big names in the sport, clearing all the 1.45m obstacles for a second time before crossing the finish line in 36 seconds flat for the win.
Marcus Ehning (GER) was one of the several stars who were left behind by the Japanese rider. However, the German equestrian legend did not disappoint, securing a second-place finish with Flower Girl 13 (Hickstead x Catoki), backed by a second penalty-free performance in 37.51 seconds.
Emma Emanuelsson (SWE) and Canbella Blue PS (Cantolar x Chacco-Blue) completed the podium,, registering no penalties in 37.64 seconds in the tiebreaker.
