
Riesenbeck, Germany – September 25, 2022 – A Dutch victory on German soil! Gert Jan Bruggink (NED) and Vigalio Sho Z were victorious in the €25,650 Grand Prix of Riesenbeck CSI 2* last Sunday at the Riesenbeck International equestrian center.
Despite facing stiff competition from riders representing the host nation, Gert and the 2014 grey Belgian Warmblood gelding (Vigo d’Arsouilles Stx x Come On) managed to overcome nine other combinations in the jump-off, clearing all the 1.45m obstacles on the course before blazing across the finish line in 42.71 seconds.
Patrick Bolle (GER) and Caramba de Janeiro (Check In x Stolzenberg) were the closest ones, the only difference being their final time of 44.03 seconds.
Dutch riders posted dominant performances, claiming two of the top three positions on the podium. Bronze honors was claimed by Bas Van Der Aa (NED) and Gaen (Quintago I x Lupicor), registering no penalties and a time of 44.33 seconds in the tiebreaker.
