Zangersheide Goes All Out with Fully Packed Program next to Highly Anticipated World Championships

Lanaken, Belgium – September 19, 2022 – From the 21st to the 25th of September, the world’s most talented five-, six-, and seven-year-old showjumpers will once again gather at Domein Zangersheide. In addition to the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses, the event will also provide a stage for the FEI Sires of the World, the Belgian Showjumping Championship, the Studbook Zangersheide’s stallion selection and the highly-acclaimed Quality Auctions.

A selection of the best-performing young horses from all over the world will delight spectators starting Thursday in Lanaken at the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses. Equestrian enthusiasts can look forward to seeing new combinations, national champions and also some of last year’s medallists compete.

On the master list, we find last year’s reserve champion Crowny NW (Crown Z x Pontiflex 9) with rider Angelique Rüssen, now competing in the seven-year-olds. And the five-year-old silver and bronze medallists of 2021, Quabriolet van het Bildeken (Anakin van Schuttershof x Burggraaf) and Loharna-P (by Carrera VDL x Burggraaf) will try their luck in the six-year-olds this year.

Full Program
Besides the World Championships, the programme guarantees more highlights such as the FEI Sires of the World and the Studbook Zangersheide’s stallion selection. In addition, Belgium’s best senior riders will take on the challenge to conquer the title of Belgian champion.

Quality Auction Times Three
In the evenings there are not two, but a total of three Quality Auctions. After 15 years of absence, the young horses have found their way back onto the auction schedule. A collection of 2,3 and 4-year-olds will come under the hammer on Thursday evening, followed by the most promising Z-foals who will find new owners on Friday and Saturday evening.
