Pénélope Leprévost & Verité Une Prince Provide the Perfect Gift Winning the €25,500 Hubside Grand Prix CSI 2*

Grimaud, France – September 18, 2022 – What most horse owners look forward to? Winning, even more special if it’s on one’s birthday. Pénélope Leprévost (FRA) and Vérité Une Prince provided the perfect gift by being victorious in the €25,500 Hubside Grand Prix CSI 2* last Sunday during the second week of the Hubside Jumping’s Fall Tour at Haras des Grillons.

At the end of the morning, forty-five combinations took part in the feature CSI 2* contest of the week. After a fourteen-rider jump-off, Leprévost and the 2009 chestnut Selle Français mare (Number One d’Iso x Rosire) were declared the winners due to their flawless second performance in the 1.45m challenge, completing their final run in 34.13 seconds.

It was a “Tricoloire” podium since Leprévost was ahead of two other French riders, Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) with Citadin du Chatellier (L’Arc de Triomphe x Diamant de Semilly) and Edward Levy (FRA) with Confidence d’Ass (Diamant de Semilly x Berlin), with each pair also registering no penalties and respectively jump-off times of 34.69 and 34.93 seconds.

“Vérité is a crack horse. She has a style all of her own but I love her. I was really taken with her right from the start. The funny thing is that it’s her owner’s birthday today. She came to spend her birthday weekend here in Grimaud with her family. On the first day, I had one rail down on number three and decided to retire. But yesterday, I realised that Vérité was not allowed to jump in the Grand Prix because she had not finished a round. So I rode in the 1.35m class at the last minute to make up for my mistake and I’m glad that it allowed me to offer this win to my owner today!”
