Valence, France – August 19, 2022 – In front of packed stands and and seventy-six competitors, the Italian Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA), already winner of yesterday’s flagship event, won once again at the Hubside Jumping Valence CSI 2*, this time the 1.45m class presented by Hubside Store CSI 2*.
In the saddle on Nikolaj de Music, a 2013 bay Belgian Warmblood gelding (Kannan x Nabab de Reve), he was flawless in the speed challenge, completing the winning round in 60.82 seconds.
Less than a half second separated the top two as Morgan Bordat (FRA) guided Uma (Calvaro F.C. x Veneur d’Etenclin) towards a second place finish in 61.16 seconds.
Cathleen Driscoll (USA) was third with Flotylla ( Alvaro 121 x Bajou du Rouet), leaving all the poles up for no penalties and crossing the timers just three-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two (61.19 seconds).

Winner’s Circle – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA)
“Nikolaj is starting his competition very well, yesterday I announced my ambitions for the Grand Prix on Sunday. Today he had a very good run. I went fast enough to win but without excess. So I don’t think today’s course might reduce our chances for Sunday! This afternoon, the public was very enthusiastic, even though it’s only Friday. I’m sure there will be a great atmosphere on Sunday!”
