Deauville, France – August 14, 2022 – Juliette Faligot (FRA) and Arqana de Riverland raced to victory in the €52,300 Longines Grand Prix of the Region of Normandy CSI 3* on Sunday after a breathtaking jump-off to conclude the 2022 edition of the Longines Deauville Classic CSI 3* at the Pôle International du Cheval Longines – Deauville.
Sixty combinations from 10 different nations entered the ring for the 1.50m jump-off challenge on a course designed by Grégory Bodo (FRA), featuring 13 obstacles and 16 jumping efforts for the first round. Twenty-two of them mastered it, thus advancing to the tiebreaker.

In the end, it was Faligot who registered the fastest penalty-free performance aboard the 12-year-old grey Selle Français (Cornet Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly), securing the win in 33.27 seconds. The victory was even more special for the dynamic duo since it was their first victory at the CSI 3* level!
In an unsual turn of events, both Victor Bettendorf (LUX) with Mr. Tac (Non Stop x Toulon) and Marc Dilasser (FRA) and E2K Abricot Ennemmelle (Quaprice Bois Margot x Lux Z) tripped the timers in 33.71 seconds at the end of their jump-off performances, sharing second place.
