Patrick Stühlmeyer & Drako de Maugre Power Past the Competition in the €100,200 Grand Prix of Holstein CSI 4*

Pinneberg, Germany – August 07, 2022 – Patrick Stühlmeyer (GER) and Drako de Maugre powered past the competition to win the €100,200 Grand Prix of Holstein CSI 4*, presented by the Grand Prix Club Hof Waterkant to conclude the CSI of Hof Waterkant.

Fifty combinations lined up for the 1.60m challenge but only ten of them advanced to the tiebreaker. In the end, the German and the 9-year-old chestnut Selle Français stallion (Kannan x Fusain du Defey X) left the other 9 finalists behind with their penalty-free jump-off performance in 39.21 seconds.

Emanuele Gaudiano‘s (ITA) and Chalou (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) gave the eventual winners a run for their money, finishing second after being only seven-tenths of a second slower in the decisive round.

The host nation managed to have two of their own climb onto the poidum as Katrin Eckermann (GER) rode her 9-year-old Chao Lee (Comme il faut x Chacco-Blue) towards bronze honors, doing so backed by a clean scorecard and a final time of 40.89 seconds.
