One Step Higher to the Top as Philip Ruping Races to Victory at Hof Waterkant CSI 4*

Pinneberg, Germany โ€“ August 05, 2022 โ€“ After a second place finish in the โ‚ฌ30,500 DVAG Trophy CSI 4* the previous day, Philip Ruping (GER) was back on the podium, but this time one step higher after guiding Casallco to victory in the โ‚ฌ52,600 Eickendorf Horses & MeyerZimmermann Sport & Business Cup CSI 4* at theย Hof Waterkant CSI 4* & CSI 2*.

Sixteen of the sixtyโ€“four combinations managed to overcome all the 1.50 obstacles and complete the course within the time allowed to advance to the jumpโ€“off. In the end, Ruping raced towards victory aboard the 11โ€“yearโ€“old bay Holsteiner stallion, duplicating a faultโ€“free performance from the first round, this time in 4.077 seconds for the win

The host nation showed their brilliance as Hannes Ahlmann (GER) guided Nerrado (Nekton x Acorado I) flawlessly in the two rounds, completing the second one in 41.19 seconds.

Moreover, it was an allโ€“German podium for the Germans when Janne Friederike Meyer Zimmerman (GER) and Buttner’s Minimax (Cornado I x Antaeus) registered the thirdโ€“fastest jumpโ€“off effort of the contest, crossing the finish line in 41.48 seconds.
