
Hickstead, England – July 28, 2022 – In the first international showjumping classes of the Longines Royal International Horse Show CSIO 5*, the Whitaker family added another two wins to their tally. Robert Whitaker (GBR) secured victory in the €25,500 Royal International Trophy CSIO 5* with new ride Evert.
A total of 43 combinations lined up to take part in the 1.45m two-phase challenge with the Brit and the 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood (Amadeus x Indoctro) having the upper hand, securing the win after a flawless performance, being timed in 26.24 seconds at the end of phase two.
Marc Dilasser (FRA) and Chamann Has (Mylord Carthago x Socrate de Chivre) were not too far off the final mark set by the entual winner, earning second place in 26.
Thomas Gilles (BEL) and Jetric van Beek Z (Jovago d’Arsouilles x Vagabond de La Pomme) rounded out the top three, being clean all the way to the wire, stopping the final timers in 26.70 seconds.
