British Equestrian Announces Team for 2022 FEI World Championships in Herning

London, England – July 22, 2022 – British Equestrian and British Showjumping have annnounced the British list of definite entries for the upcoming 2022 ECCO FEI World Championships, from the 6th to the 14th of August, in Herning, Denmark.

Selected entries in alphabetical order by athlete surname:

  • Scott Brash (35) based in Horsham, West Sussex and originally from Peebles, Peebleshire, with Lady Pauline Harris and Lady Pauline Kirkham’s Hello Jefferson (bay, gelding, 16.1hh, 13yrs, Cooper van de Heffink x Irco Mena, Breeder: Bernard Mols BEL, Groom: David Honnet)
  • Harry Charles (22) from Alton, Hampshire, with Ann Thompson and his own Romeo 88 (bay, gelding, 17hh, 13yrs, Contact van de Heffinck x Orlando, Breeder: Picobello Horses BEL, Groom: Georgia Ellwood)

Harry has also been selected with a direct replacement ride, Stall Zet’s Casquo Blue (bay, gelding, 12yrs, Chacco-Blue x Carthago Z, Breeder: Gestuet Lewitz GER)

  • Ben Maher (39) based in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, with Charlotte Rossetter, Pamela Wright and his own Explosion W (chestnut, gelding, 16.1hh, 13yrs, Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet, Breeder: W. Wijnen NED, Groom: Sophie Currie)

Ben has also been selected with a direct replacement ride, Oakingham Stud’s Faltic HB (bay, stallion, 16.1hh, 12yrs, Baltic VDL x Concorde, Breeder: H. A. Brinkman NED)

  • Joseph Stockdale (22) from Roade, Northamptonshire, with Joy Cocklin and Laura Stockdale’s Equine America Cacharel (bay, mare, 10yrs, 17hh, Cachas x Quinar, Breeder: Bohm Helmut GER, Groom: Charlotte Attwell)

Travelling reserve

  • John Whitaker (66) from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, with Clare Whitaker and his own Equine America Unick du Francport (bay, gelding, 16.3hh, 14yrs, Zandor x Helios de la Cour II, Breeder: Laurent Baillet FRA, Groom: Kerry Finch)
