Back-to-Back Victories for Jos Verlooy & FTS Killossery Konfusion at Tops International Arena

Valkenswaard, The Netherlands – July 16, 2022 – After winning the Two-Phase challenge CSI 5* the day before, Jos Verlooy (BEL) and FTS Killossery Konfusion were back in the winners circle last Saturday at Tops International Arena. No confusion at all on the course for the dynamic duo as they blazed to victory in the €25,500 Jump-off Challenge CSI 5*.

Ten out of the 23 participants had qualified for the decisive round of the 1.45m challenge but the young Belgian and the 12-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (SIEC Livello x Cruising), doing so backed by a penalty-free peformance in 34.46 seconds.

Verlooy was in great company on the podium as he managed to beat two all-time greats of the sport. A former world number himself, Daniel Deusser (GER) teamed up Jasmien vd Bisschop (Larino x Chin Chin) for reserve honors, being only two-tenths of a second slower (34.66s) than the eventual winners.

Three-time World Cup Finals Champion and also a World & Olympic Champion, Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) rounded out the top three aboard Lord Lucio (Legolas x Cero), crossing the jump-off timers in 37.02 seconds.
