Knokke-Heist, Belgium – July 07, 2022 – It’s showtime for showjumping at the 2022 edition of Knokke Hippique CSIO 5* and this year’s edition packs even more excitement. Besides the €500,000 Grand Prix CSIO 5* next Sunday, for the first time ever, the event also features the €200,00 Nations Cup CSIO 5*. As one of the last opportunities for riders to make a good impression on Chefs d’Équipe to be selected for the upcoming FEI Jumping World Championships in Herning, Denmark, the CSIO 5* classes will be contested by some of the biggest names in the sport, including the very best of the “Red Devils” as Pieter Devos (BEL), Niels Bruynseels (BEL), Jérôme Guery (BEL), Ludo Philippaerts (BEL), Nicola Philippaerts (BEL), Olivier Philippaerts (BEL), Jos Verlooy (BEL), Gilles Thomas (BEL), Zoe Conter (BEL), Dominique Hendrickx (BEL), amongst others, are all set to compete there.
The Belgians face fierce competition from riders representing Austria, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.
