Fontainebleau, France – July 03, 2022 – The Fontainebleau Classic CSI 2* came to an end last Sunday and it was Geoffroy de Coligny (FRA) and Raimondo du Plessis who powered to victory in the the feature class of the week, the €26,100 CWD Grand Prix CSI 2* at Le Grand Parquet.
Thirteen of the original seventy combinations who took part in the first round of the 1.45m challenge managed to advance to the tiebreaker but it was the Frenchman and the 2005 bay Selle Français gelding (The Calin du Plessis x Mister Sartilly) who produced the fastest clean performance in the decisive round, securing the win in 39.94 seconds.
Stephanie Hennequin (FRA) and Black Pearl d’Amont (Romando de l’Abbaye x Fakir de Kreisker) were not too far behind, finishing second only due to their final time of 40.46 seconds.
The all-French podium was completed by Marc Dilasser (FRA) aboard E2k Abricot Ennemmelle (Quaprice Bois Margot x Lux Z), backed by a jump-off performance only nine-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
