Monaco, Monte Carlo – June 30, 2022 – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) has been at the top of the sport for quite some time, having won several five-star grands prix and countless FEI-level classes throughout his illustrious career. If there’s anything else, that sets him apart from most riders is his willingness to go fast. Once again the Italian was off to the races, teaming up with Crack Balou to claim the win in the โฌ25,500 Equestrian Federation of the Principality of Monaco CSI 5* on the opening day of the Longines Global Champions Tour / Jumping International de Monte Carlo CSI 5* & 2*.

A total of 47 combinations entered the ring for the 1.45m challenge at Port Hercule. In the end, it was the speedy Italian who paraded victoriously aboard the 10-year-old dark bay Hannoverian stallion (Balou du Reventon x Chacco-Blue), doing so after completing phase two flawlessly in 24.77 seconds.
This time Gaudiano’s speed aboard the beautiful stallion was challenged by Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli (BRA) and Danna RJ (Quiz Time x Candidus). The latter duo put on a valiant effort, finishing only two-hundredths of a second behind the winning mark for silver honors.
Robin Muhr (ISR) and Baccarat Meniljean (Diamant de Semilly x Dollar du Murier) was not too far behind either. They also left all the poles up for no penalties, rounding out the top three with a second-phase time of 25.01 seconds.
