
Rotterdam, The Netherlands – June 25, 2022 – Francesca Ciriesi (ITA) claimed the victory in the €7,500 Port of Rotterdam Prize CSIO 5* with Chacco’s Boy, finishing in 57.09 seconds. A total of thirteen combinations started in this 1.45m speed challenge.
The first starter, Marcus Ehning (GER) set a good time with his Flower Girl, but unfortunately the mare also knocked a bar out of the spoons for him. That was not the case for Francesca Ciriesi (ITA) and the 12-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Chacco-Blue x Quattro B), who blazed through the course flawlessly before completing it in 57.09 seconds.
Wilma Hellström (SWE) and Appearance (Conthargos x Incolor) came in second place, matching the clean performance of the eventual winners while being almost seven-tenths of a second slower (57.72 seconds).
Three different nations were represent on the podium. Oliver Lazarus (RSA) and Chilipeper (Quasimodo Z / No Limit ) completed the top three, just nine hundredths of a second behind the latter two.
