Michael Greeve & Jacksonville Eurohill Excel in Kalsbeek Prize CSIO 5* at Rotterdam

Rotterdam, The Netherlands – June 24, 2022 – A day of top sport got off to a great start on Friday at the 73rd CHIO Rotterdam 5* with the running of the €7,500 Kalfsbeek Prize CSIO 5*, held on a 1.45m course as special two-phase challenge. Once again, a Dutch victory, this time by Michael Greeve (NED) aboard Jacksonville Eurohill.

No fewer than 12 combinations of the 20 participants managed to stay clear in both phases. Michael Greeve (NED) sent his horse as the fastest through the course designed by Quintin Maertens (NED). The Dutchman and the 8-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood gelding (Emerald x Carambole) were supreme after completing the second phase of the contest flawlessly, registering the fastest final performance in 33.95 seconds.

Second place was claimed Irishman Trevor Breen (IRL) with Jicarla T (Caretino Gold x Numero Uno). The duo matched the clean scorecard of the eventual winners but had to settle for second after a final time of 34.23 seconds.

British rider Jodie Hall McAteer (GBR) was third with Mademoiselle A (Corland x Cardento), not too far behind the latter two, being timed in 34.40 seconds in phase two.
