Victor Bettendorf & Mr. Tac Tame Time to Win €100,000 Grand Prix of Bourg-en-Bresse CSI 4*

Bourg-en-Bresse Ain, France – May 22, 2022 – Showjumping is a sport of little details and one of the few that it’s impossible to win after any minor mistake. It’s a matter of time, a mixture of power and speed is mandatory to win! Victor Bettendorf (LUX) and Mr. Tac showed that they had what it took to win, taming time and the competition for the triumph in the €100,000 Grand Prix of the City of Bourg-en-Bresse CSI 4*.

Fifty combinations challenged the first round of the challenge but only seven of them advanced to the tiebreaker after clearing all the 1.55m obstacles and completing the course within the time allowed. In the end, it was Victor Bettendorf and the 2012 bay Belgian Warmblood gelding (Nonstop x Toulon) who prevailed, not only being clean again but also registering the fastest time of 34.27 seconds amongst all finalists.

Victory was snatched away from the host nration, however, Les Bleus managed to put two riders amongst the top three on the podium. Juliette Faligot (FRA) rode Arqana de Riverland (Cornet Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly) -towards reserve honors, completing their second penalty-free performance in 34.27 seconds

Bernoit Cernin (FRA) was a little bit more conservative aboard Deuxcatsix d’Eglefin (Vigo Cece x Bamako de Muze), still managing to earn bronze honors after a double clear and a final time of 34.64 seconds.
