Ramatuelle, Saint Tropez, France – May 21, 2022 – A glamorous event with much class! Marion Trosset (FRA) and Illi Nobili claimed stylish victory in the €25,000 Dolce & Gabbana Grand Prix CSI 2* during the last day of the 2022 edition of the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show CSI 5* & 2*.
Out of the total of 27 combinations in the first round, Trosset topped the 1.45m challenge against 3 other combinations in the tiebreaker, guiding the 14-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood gelding (Deauville van TL x Vancouver d’Auvray) towards the fastest clean performance, charging across the finish line in 35.72 seconds.
Izac Ketteridge (GBR) was more conservative, chosing to go for a fault-free jump-off round aboard Amazon JD (Lancelot x Dario), a strategy that paid off as their effort in 37.83 seconds resulted in a second-place finish.
Kamal Abdullah Bahamdan (KSA) and Jack van het Dennehof (Toulon x Quidam de Revel) registered the fastest run amongst all the finalists, but their final time of 34.75 came at the expense of one pole down for four penalty-points, meaning that the duo would have to sette for bronze honors.
