An “Extra Push” Secures Christian Fioravanti the Win in the €100,000 Al Shira’aa Grand Prix CSI 4*

Montefalco, Italy – May 11, 2022 – An “extra push”, that’s what it took for Christian Fioravanti (ITA) to win the €100,000 Al Shira’aa Grand Prix CSI 4* to conclude the first week of the Le Lame International – Sagrantino Tour at the Le Lame Horses Sporting Club. The Italian overcame all the favorites aboard Double Push, stealing the spotlight in the feature contest there.

Ten out of the total of 46 combinations advanced to the tiebreaker of the 1.55 challenge but only seven managed to duplicate their clean score in the decisive round. Fioravanti dared his 9-year-old dark bay Italian Sport Horse mare (Cascadello – Push Up) to go faster and she honored her name by giving her all while still leaving all the poles up, tripping the final timers in 36.33 seconds for an impecable victory.

Niklaus Rutschi (SUI) and Quinao de Chandor Z (Qlassic Bois Margot x Coriano) were also very quick and clean but not quick enough to claim the lion’s share of the jackpot, finishing second in 36.33 seconds.

Bernardo Alves (BRA) & Mosito van het Hellehof

The most consistent rider there, due to two previous major wins during the week at the event, Bernardo Cardoso de Resende Alves (BRA) earned another podium finish. This time, he teamed up with Mosito Van Het Hellehof (Elvis Ter Putte x Nabab de Reve), securing third place in 36.96 seconds.
