Winner’s Circle – Rene Lopez (COL)

“Stalognia, my thirteen-year-old mare, was exceptional, as usual. In the paddock, during the relaxation, I felt her really in good shape, she showed that she wanted to go there and win. On track , I tried to bother her as little as possible, by letting her gallop. She is so respectful, she is such a great lady, that I just had to let her go in her gallop. She has a huge stride , so I can afford, in some lines, to take a stride off quite easily. I’m still thinking but I don’t think Stalognia will come out again before Sunday’s Grand Prix. I’ll make the decision tomorrow, when I see Kheros Van’T Hoogeinde in action.”
