
Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – March 18, 2022 – The Tío Pepe Trophy, one of the two Ranking tests held today in the Andalucía Sunshine Tour, ended with the brilliant victory of the Belgian rider Dominique Hendrickx (BEL). Accompanied by his twelve-year-old horse ‘Koriano Van Klapscheut‘, son of Lord Z x Darco, he was the fastest of the 20 combinations that jumped the jump-off, completing the route designed on track 3 by the renowned Venezuelan international ringmaster Leopoldo Palaces in 38.19 seconds.

A total of 92 combinations took part in this disputed test in which the Irish Susan Fitzpatrick (IRL) was the closest to the Belgian, finally occupying a creditable second position with ‘Verdict de Kezeg‘ (Diamant de Semilly x Vas and Donc Longane) stopping the clock in 39.13 seconds.

With more than a second and a half difference, the Norwegian Therese Henriksen (NOR) was third with ‘Cyclone L’Epivent‘ (Ulixe x Arpege Pierreville), while the Dutch Kim Emmen (NED) with ‘Delvaux‘, a stallion son of Chacco-Blue x Lancer II, was installed in the fourth position. Canadian Tim Wilks (CAN) closed the positions of honor with ‘Diamanthella VG Z‘ (Diamant de Semilly x Hickory Mail).
