
Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – March 17, 2021 – The first Longines Ranking class in the the sixth week here at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour was extremely busy on Thursday. One hundred and thirteen entries competed in the feature class of the day, meaning that the class had to be split into two groups and crown a different winner for each one.
One of the winners, who had the fastest time of the day, was Spanish rider, Kevin González de Zárate (ESP) with the 12-year-old, ‘Conthargos Rouge’ (Conthargos x Papillon Rouge), owned by Yeguada Valbanera They managed a penalty-free performance at the end of the two sections of the €10,150 Big Tour Special Two-Phase Challenge CSI 4*, completing the second part of the 1.50m course in a mere 33.74 seconds for the win.
It was a one two for the host country in Group A as Eduardo Álvarez Aznar(ESP) rode ‘Full Option Van’t Z towards silver honors in 34.71 seconds.
In third were Emeric George (FRA) with ‘Calisco de Terlong’. Fourth were Bernardo Cardoso de Resende (BRA) with ‘Mosito Van Het Hellehof’.
