Piergiorgio Bucci & Cochello Show their Brilliance in €51,300 Crédito Agricola Grand Prix CSI 3*

Villamoura, Portugal – March 06, 2022 – Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) was back in the winner’s circle on Sunday during the fifth week of the VillaMoura Atlantic Tour at the VillaMoura Equestrian Centre. Piergiorgio was powered to victory by Cochello in the feature class of the week, the ongratulations to the winners of the last €51,300 Crédito Agricola Grand Prix CSI 3*.

A total of 42 combinations took part in the 1.45m challenge but only 6 of them advanced to the tiebreaker. In the end, it was the Italian and Stal Bucci’s 2009 grey Holsteiner gelding (Casall x Cartani 4) who came out on top, not only posting another penalty-free effort but also being the quickest across the track, securing the win in 36.24 seconds.

Julien Gonin (FRA) & Valou du Lys

The next two spots on the podium were conquered by French riders. Julien Gonin (FRA) rode Valou du Lys (Calvaro F.C. x Galoubet A) claimed the second spot on the podium backed by a penalty-free jump-off performance just fourteen-hundredths of a second slower than the eventual winners.

Romain Dreyfus (FRA) & Big Brother

Romain Dreyfus (FRA) and Big Brother (Untouchable 27 x Gran Corrado) also posted a valiant effort, rounding out the top three in 38.24 seconds.
