Wellington, Florida, USA – February 23, 2022 – It still feels like winter in the northern hemisphere but the heat is on for showjumpers all over the world as major events are taking place this week. The seventh week of the 2022 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) promises to keep spectators on the edge of their seat as a star-studded line-up of riders and horses take the main stage of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) for CSI 5* & CSI 2* classes.

On the other side of the globe, the Middle East’s most important equestrian event of the year begins on Thursday at the stunning Al Shaqab, home to the CHI Al Shaqab 5* this week and the first leg of the 2022 Longines Global Champions Tour CSI 5* next week. Despite the cancelling of world cup events in Europe, the North American League is on this week with the running of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Puebla CSI 4*-W, held during Quintas Ecuestres in Puebla, Mexico.
