Christian Ahlmann & Mandato van de Neerheide Triumphant in Grand Prix of Riesenbeck CSI 2*

Riesenbeck, Germany – February 13, 2022 – Christian Ahlmann (GER) was back in the winner’s circle at the Riesenbeck International last Sunday. The German rider teamed up with Mandato van de Neerheide to claim top honors in the €25,800 Grand Prix of Riesenbeck CSI 2* at Ludger Beerbaum’s renowned equestrian center.

A total of 12 from the original field of 56 combinations qualified for the jump-off of the 1.45m challenge. The German and the 10-year-old chestnut Belgian Warmblood gelding (Emerald x Pommeau du Heup) overcame all the obstacles and 10 other riders who participated in the tiebreaker, completing their penalty-free performance in 43.12 seconds for the win.

John Whitaker (GBR) & Unick du Francport

The level of competition was very high and a living legend of the sport showed his greatness once again, claiming the second spot on the podium. John Whitaker (GBR) showed great form aboard Unick du Francport once again, registering two penalty-free runs, the final one in 44.29 seconds. Look out for these two during the outdoor season!

Gerco Schroder (NED) & Glock’s Lausejunge

The top three spots on the podium were claimed by riders with multiple grand prix wins and international championship medals. Gerco Schroder (NED) guided Glock’s Lausejunge towards two fault-free rounds too, earning bronze honors in 44.64 seconds.
