Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – January 20, 2021 – Mariano Martinez Bastida (ESP) and Mogambo mastered the course to win the Big Class CSI 2* during the first day of the Pre-Sunshine Tour I at the renowned equestrian venue in Vejer de La Frontera, Spain.
A total of 11 combinations lined up for the 1.45m speed challenge with the Spaniard and the 12-year-old bay mare (Diamant de Semilly) claiming top honors after a blazing penalty-free performance in 63.95 seconds.
Derin Demirsoy (TUR) and Hunter (Bernini x Voltaire) registered the second-fastest effort of the contest, securing silver honors in 67.96 seconds.
Catherine Pasmore (USA) rode Armani (Namelus R Lester) to the third spot on the podium, going clear in 70.91 seconds.
