Oliva, Spain – January 15, 2022 – Karel Cox (BEL) and Nueva Epoca de Regor raced to victory in the €25,700 Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort CSI 2* on Saturday at the during the first week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Spring Tour I. The 1.45m jump-off challenge featured 54 combinations with the Belgian and the 2013 bay Belgian Warmblood mare (Nabab de Reve x Querlybet Hero) claiming top honors after posting a penalty-free performance in 37.37 in the tiebreaker.
Gudrun Patteet (BEL) and Sea Coast Monalisa Van’t Paradijs (Bamako de Muze x Emerald) were not too far off the pace of the eventual winners, completing their second fault-free effort in 38.04 seconds.
The level of the competition was very high with all-time great Steve Guerdat (SUI) securing the third spot on the podium aboard Is-Minka (Mylord Carthago*HN x Flyinge Quite Easy 958) in 39.21 seconds.
