The Dutchman and the 12-year-old bay Royal Dutch Sport Horse (Dutch Warmblood) stallion (Sire – Gaillard de la Pomme) were supreme in the tiebreaker, registering a winning time of 41.49 seconds at the end of their second pernalty performance in the contest.
Trevor Breen (IRL) guided Germaine W (Eldorado Vd Zeshoek x Armstrong) towards a second-place finish, right on the heels of the eventual winners, being timed in 41.81 seconds.
Abdurakhmon Abdullaev (UZB) and Conlouba (Contendros 2) completed the podium as the only other duo with a clean scorecard, crossing the finish line in 43.10 seconds for bronze honors.
