Oliva Nova, Spain – November 12, 2021 – Karel Cox (BEL) and Curiano van Maarle Z led a Belgian trifecta in the feature class on Friday, the €26,400 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 3* yesterday during the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Autumn Series in Spain.
Cox and the 2011 bay Zangersheide gelding (Canabis Z x Germus R) advanced to and completed the second section of the 1.45m challenge without having any penalties attributed to them while still registering the fastest final time of 28.85 seconds for the victory.
Koen Vereecke (BEL) and L’Esmeralda van ‘T Meulenhof were also clean right to the wire, securing silver honors in 29.88 seconds.
Winners of the Grand Prix CSI 3* last Sunday, Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and Gijs were consistent once again, rounding out the top three in 29.91 seconds.
