Aggelos Touloupis & Blue Balou 5 are the Best in $100,200 Lotto Prize CSI 2*-W at Warsaw

Warsaw, Poland – November 12, 2021 – Friday’s jump-off Big Round class, counting for the Longines Rankings and Cavaliada Tour, for the prize of Lotto and under the patronage of “Horse & Business Magazine” is already behind us.

The 145 cm class saw 56 riders on the startlist. 15 of them qualified for the jump off, and ultimately the best result belonged to Aggelos Touloupis (GRE) from Greece riding the 10-year-old Blue Balou 5, who crossed the finish line in 39,77.

“The course was not so big, but it was technical, and the fences were coming pretty fast. There were 15 clear rounds, but there are a lot of good riders here. I’m very happy with my horse, he jumped amazing. In the jump-off i went in the end, so I could watch a lot of riders. Until then there was only one clear, but the ones with fences down were fast so I had to risk. Blue Balou is careful and a real fighter in the ring. He is my partner. I enjoy coming to Cavaliada, it’s an amazing show and we are planning to go to Poznań and Kraków.” – said the rider.

Wojciech Wojcianiec (POL) & Naccord Melloni

Second place went to Angel Niagolov (BUL) from Bulgaria with the 9-year-old Chaccato PS. Polish rider Wojciech Wojcianiec (POL) took home the third position aboard the 12-year-old stallion Naccord Melloni. – “The horses are jumping better and better. The number of clear rounds is a good sign for Sunday’s Grand Prix, which for sure will be harder.” – says Szymon Tarant, the sport director of CAVALIADA Tour.

He also informs that in today’s competition, where the obstacles measured 145 cm, there were many technical questions, but many athletes coped very well with these tasks. – “Let me remind you that in the Sunday competition, counting for the World Cup, two fences will be 160 cm in height. However, you can see from today’s class that the horses are well prepared, and we can expect a good, sporting competition” – assures Szymon Tarant.
