
Vilamoura, Portugal – November 06, 2021 – Before going on to win the €51,250 Grand Prix of Vilamoura CSI 3* Andreas Schou (DEN) had already topped the €25,400 Jump-Off Challenge CSI 3* the day before during the fifth and final week of the 2021 Vilamoura Champions Tour. The Danish rider teamed up with Quadrosson Ask for the victory in the feature class of the day at the at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre.
Schou guided the 2011 bay Holsteiner gelding (Quadros 3 x Carentan) beautifully over two rounds, registering no penalties in 38.27 seconds at the end of their jump-off performance.
Trevor Breen (IRL) and Germaine W (Eldorado Vd Zeshoek x Armstrong) also cleared all the 1.45m obstacles to match the double clear of the eventual winners, earning silver honors in 39.65 seconds.
The host nation was also represented on the podium, with Duarte Romao (POR) and Calvin de Beaufour (Nabab de Reve x Feinschnitt I Vd Richter) rounding out the top three backed by a clean scorecard and a final time of 42.48 seconds.
